My Beautiful cat is gone!

My precious cat died today.  I will always remember her and Valentines day will forever be a day when my heart will be filled with memories of her and the smiles and love she brought into my life . Thank you Beau for being my friend for the last 12 years.....you will be terribly missed!! We never expected you to go so soon and so quickly......

 

Been Gone Back Now

It has been awhile since I was here, but i haven’t been laying low.  I have been making all sorts of things and I've been traveling to all sorts of places. I haven’t lost that streak of creativity and actually, my trip home to Australia has been inspirational in getting me more motivated.  I might post some of the pictures of my trip, and of some of the things I have dreamed up…….but for now I just want to remind myself that sometimes dreaming isn’t so bad.  My kitty cat is unwell, she wont be with us for much longer, watching her is sad and painful. I am trying to put things in the right perspective but the next few months wont be easy.

My tribute to summer

Tried to get a taste of my summer holiday on this page.  It will go into the new album I have made. I ordered the new Alice in Wonderland journal from Elsie today.  I am really looking forward to getting stuck into it....... at the moment the bad weather is making me feel a little low.  I need the colors and the fun of some crazy layouts.

I miss it!

I cant believe I have been back for a week.  I spent a wonderful ten days with my parents in Italy and coming back to the misery of the Dutch summer this year has been hard........I have so many suggestive shots just to remind me of what I left behind.......

My Little Mouse arrived!

I am so thrilled with my last Etsy purchase!  She comes from The House of Mouse and came with a little certificate and pin. I adore mice and this little girl will take pride of place on my desk.  She is truly gorgeous! 

Magical

I started an album some time ago with pictures which I chose of myself with some sort of special meaning. I put them into this fun album which I made especially to fit the unusually shaped pages.  Most of the embelishments are from Love Elsie.  I love color and I love the effects that all the little buttons produce, it's magical.  Lets face it I am hooked on all these gorgeous bits and pieces.  Recently I bought the recipie box and it really filled me with inspiration to scrapbook late into the night and use up all the bits and pieces i had left over.

I also used some of the techniques described by Tim Holtz to make it all a little more fruity and the textures different.  I love piling things onto a page.  For me the looker has to see something different every time they look at my pages.  I cant seem to leave an empty space alone.  The more I try to create open and uncluttered layouts, the more I feel the frustrated need to fill in the blanks.  I am now making a second scrapbook.  Much the same, but smaller than this one.  I will try to cramb less onto the pages.  Dont think I will succeed though........life is full of so many fantastic things, and so, how can I not reflect that in my pages...... : )
